Nominations counted...

So I've just finished counting all the nominations.

I'll be honest with you and say there have been less votes this year than any other year and I blame myself totally for that. I haven't promoted the Bloscars half as much as I have in past years. What I am impressed with though is the variety of nominations. This years has seen the biggest variety of nominations for each award.

I have never properly voted in any of the Bloscars as I use my vote as a deciding vote should there be an award where the categories were that close that I could have put six or seven people in instead of just the five! Well this year I've had to use my vote in ever category!

I'm not kidding when I say it's been sooooooo close this year. Usually I've been able to call it and know who was going to win what. I can only do that with two categories this year and to be honest I think I'd just be taking a lucky guess anyway!

Anyway, I'm just putting together the form and then some time tonight I'll put the finalists up.

Blog is a different place this year. Don't blame yourself for the lack of participation.

Blog is certainly going through some changes at the moment.

The biggest problem I have had is that some of my favourite bloggers have either deleted or been inactive and although there are some good blogs around they are relative newcomers and it has been hard to find anyone who can match some of the bloggers who used to be around.

    It is not that there aren't some good blogs around just on previous years 2 or 3 have stood out in each category this year although many are a good read, it has been hard to find any which really stand out.

      I know what you mean, but I've not been very bloggy this year really, hardly added any new friends or read new blogs. So it's my own fault, really.

It's amazing how much has changed on blog in twelve short months. So many of the new friends I made in my first year are no longer around or only on here once in a blue moon.

There's been plenty of newcomers though. Kind of makes the "best newcomer" categories difficult to whittle down.

Next year, promote it more!

Blog has changed. I think the way I use it has changed too. But I must try to keep involved

wooo hooo Its great news and nice to know that blog has adapted and more people have been nommed and it isnt so clear cut either sounds like the final list is gonna be an interesting one cant wait

Was a bit disapointed that one or two bloggers i thought should be among those voted in were not,but the ones that are are good ones too.
